Ed is an executive recruiter and career development executive in the San Francisco Bay area, specializing in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Medical & Life Sciences, Software Development, Marketing and Sales. Ed has leveraged his initial experience as an IT and Systems Development manager to help hiring managers find, attract, evaluate and hire technical and marketing talent for various companies in the United States and internationally.
In his last technical role as a Manager of Systems Applications at Walt Disney, Ed helped to automate various departments at the Disney Imagineering company. It was there that he experienced the difficulties in finding the right talent needed to staff various technical projects.
After leaving the Disney organization, Ed entered the world of technical recruiting, and has been involved in various aspects of talent acquisition for over 20 years. He has built and managed high-powered recruiting teams at start-ups as well as mature companies. He has held several Talent Acquisition management positions at technology companies like Kaiser Permanente IT, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, Ascend Communications (acquired by Lucent), Procket Networks (acquired by Cisco), Commerce One, and OOMA.
Ed also spent 5 years as the CEO and owner of a Medical Staffing agency serving the staffing needs of hospitals, clinics, medical labs, surgery centers, physician’s offices and home health patients.
Ed is currently the Leader of Talent Acquisition for ARC Document Solutions, the leading print and productivity technology solutions provider to the Architecture/Engineering / Construction / Building Owners industry.
He frequently advises business technology managers on technology trends, industry best practices in hiring and managing human capital, and creatively solving the talent shortage problems that many companies are facing. He has been a speaker and panelist at several conferences on hiring and career search practices. He was also a contributor in the development of the AIRS Recruiting Competency Model (authored by David Forman, Chair, Human Capital Institute Educational Board)
Ed received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of the Philippines and a Master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine University.
He currently lives in San Ramon, CA with his wife of 35 years.
