Monica Wilson

Monica E. Wilson is a seasoned public servant, policy leader, and community advocate with more than 15 years of experience advancing equity, safety, and opportunity for vulnerable communities. She currently serves as a four-term City Councilmember representing District 4 in Antioch, California, where her leadership has focused on public safety, community wellness, and systems-level solutions to complex social challenges.

Throughout her career, Monica has been a steadfast advocate for women and girls, particularly those impacted by exploitation, violence, and systemic inequities. Her work intersects local government, nonprofit leadership, and policy development, with a strong emphasis on prevention, survivor-centered approaches, and cross-sector collaboration.She brings deep experience in program oversight, stakeholder engagement, and navigating public systems to drive meaningful change.

Monica’s commitment to justice and service extends beyond her elected role. She is a recognized leader within Democratic and women’s leadership organizations statewide and nationally, and she is passionate about supporting organizations like Love Never Fails that are on the front lines of restoring hope, dignity, and freedom.
